Moab, one of the legendary mountain biking locations every biker must ride once in their lifetime!

We incorporate all the best bits and then discover more… with our “secret spot” knowledge.
Oh yes, we give you the “whole enchilada”! Passing through Captain Ahab, Mag 7 and the mythical Slick Rock Trail you will have your daily dose of exceptional biking with extra guacamole !!

90minutes drive from Moab takes us to a secondary well known bike spot in Fruita, Colorado, offering unique landscapes and super flowy trails.

100% magical riding on the program for this week in legendary mountain biking terrain!

Warning: This itineray is given for your information and may be changed at the discretion of the guide depending on the weather conditions, physical ability of clients and the trail 'options' we decide together.

DAY of arrival ( Saturday ): Travel into Grand Junction, Colorado. Arrive late afternoon or evening. Rim Tours will arrange an airport pick up and shuttle to hotel in downtown Grand Junction (Hampton Inn) for 3 nights

DAY 1 (Sunday): Breakfast with group at hotel in GJ. Rim guide will travel over this morning with van and bikes. Bike fitting and overview of trip before we head out to trails. Group will ride the Kokopelli Trail System (Rustlers, Horsethief, Mary's & Mack Ridge) with many options for longer/shorter and more/less difficult trails. Lunch is included. Dinner tonight at Hot Tomato or downtown restaurant in GJ.
Mostly singletrack trails with sections of double track range from easy to advanced with most at challenging intermediate. Most days will have a range of distance depending on the strength of group so it’s difficult to say exactly how far and how long we will ride.

Ride distance: 25-50 kms
Hours of riding 3-5 hours
Physical difficulty: 2/5 Technical skills: 3/5

DAY 2 (Monday): Breakfast at hotel, then shuttle to your ride today at the 18 Road Trail area (Kessel’s Run, Joe's Ridge, Zippity Do Da, PBR, Prime Cut). 18 Road trails are mountain bike specific trails that are designed to make you feel like you are a kid on a rollercoaster - very awesome! All with the back drop of beautiful views across the valley. We can set up a salad/sandwich bar at central spot to all the fun loops at this trail system nestled against the dramatic Book Cliffs. We could ride the Lunch Loops/Ribbon area today instead.
After riding, we return back to same hotel and we will dine at Il Bistro in GJ.

Ride distance: 25-40 kms
Hours of riding 3-5 hours
Physical difficulty: 2/5
Technical skills: Similar range of difficulty as Day 1, mostly singletrack

DAY 3 (Tuesday): We leave Grand Junction today so please pack your bags and after breakfast we head out to explore more of Fruita’s awesome trails, most likely the Rabbit Valley/Western Rim/Bitter Creek Rim. Today will be more of a long cross country ride over varied terrain so we’ll carry a lunch and all that we need for the journey. After riding we’ll load up our van and drive 1.5 hours to Moab. We will be sure to stop and stretch our legs along the way as we follow the scenic Colorado River flanked by red sandstone cliffs. We check into the Bighorn Lodge for 3-4 nights which is downtown and walking distance to many restaurants and shops.
Dinner tonight is at Pasta Jay’s Italian.

Ride distance: 30-45 kms
Hours of riding 3-6 hours

Technical skills: Intermediate part singletrack, part double track

DAY 4 (Wednesday): Breakfast at Moab Grill. Meet guides in morning and head out to the Klondike Bluff Trail area with many new fun trails that range from fast/flow to quite slow/steep/technical. There are some fun things to see off the trails here including dinosaur tracks and views of famous Arches National Park! Lunch included this afternoon we’ll head into Arches National Park for a hike to Delicate Arch.
Back to the Bighorn and dinner tonight at Miguel’s Baja Grill.

Ride distance: 25-40 kms
Hours of riding 3-6 hours

Technical skills: intermediate trails with some easier sections and options for advanced.

DAY 5 (Thursday): Meet guides breakfast at local favorite Love Muffin Cafe and then shuttle up to ride the Whole Enchilada, one of Moab’s most legendary trails, lunch included. This Epic ride starts at as high as 3500 m where we climb for a grueling 330 meters. There is a lower starting point if it has snowed in the high country. Then over the course of the next 50 kms you ride through at 5 distinct ecosystems and descend more than 2300 m. It's not all down hill though, and it is, at times, one of the more technically challenging rides in Moab.

DAY 6 (Friday): Breakfast at Moab Grill with guides in morning and shuttle to the Magnificent 7 trail system (Bull Run, Great Escape, Little Canyon). We will ride this as a loop ride incorporating all the fun and challenging trails in this awesome system.
Today the option is to transfer back to Grand Junction to a hotel near the airport or stay one more night in Moab if your flights tomorrow are not early. GJ hotel offers a shuttle to the airport. If you opt to stay the last night in Grand Junction, dinner & breakfast will be on your own.

Ride distance: 25-55 kms
Hours of riding 3-7 hours
Physical difficulty: 2/5 Technical skills: 3/5

DAY 7 (Sunday): Fly home today: Shuttle to Grand Junction late morning is option

NB: this tour is run with a minimum of 5 clients. Lunches on Saturday of arrival and Saturday of departure are not included, but can be arranged at an additional cost.
